Our Warm Welcome Hub is open to everyone. Join us for a blether and a warm cup of tea or coffee free of charge.

YOUNG AT HEART
Current
Our Young at Heart events provides opportunities for members of our community to get together whilst taking part in a variety of activities including; arts and crafts, fitness, Burns supers, afternoon teas, and afternoons with a variety of performers.

AMIGOS CLUBS
Current
Our Amigos club runs at various times across the school holiday for primary school-aged children. Children take part in a variety of activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, games, sports and fitness.

FULSHIE FILMS

Our community cinema based within our village Community Centre aims to bring the community together to share in the magic of the cinema.
We screen films that are both educational and entertaining, including blockbuster films, British or World cinema, documentaries or animations, and screen films which reach a diverse audience within our community.

STONEYBURN TO FAULDHOUSE PATH
Current
Following on from our community survey it was clear to see that the group had to pursue a path to Fauldhouse (not only for transport links, and health care but for general health and wellbeing also.
Our paths coordinator has been working alongside West Lothian Council, Lord Provost Muldoon, and Sustrans to complete this project at a cost of £1.5 million.
As this is a large project it does take time to complete, however good progress is being made. The project has currently been costed and planned for. Designs for construction are now being drawn up which will be completed by October 2022. Further designs and funding are required for the bridge section, with applications being decided in January 2023. The Path is scheduled to commence building in early 2024. Further updates should be available by the end of this year.

FULSHIE PATH - PHASE 2
Current
The Fulshie Path Phase one has now been completed. Currently the Group and working alongside West Lothian Council to secure the remaining path which would allow for the Fulshie Path to connect to the newly laid path at East Whitburn.
We will continue to update you on our progress.

FULSHIE FUN RUN
Annually
Our annual Fulshie Fun Run first took place in 2018 and takes place over and around the Fulshie Bing. The Run takes place once per year, offering a 5K run and 2.5K run or walk route. Thanks to our new path the run is fully accessible allowing all of our community to join the fun.

BOWLING CLUB PATH ROUTE
Current
Paths for All have awarded the Group £10,000 of funding to lay a path from the Bowlers to the sewage gate opening, linking the water board bath to Cuthill Crescent. Works will begin construction in late 2022-early 2023 supported by West Lothian Council. The new path will run behind the houses at Cuthill Cresent and link up to the Fulshie path giving a completed 5K route.

SANTA PARADE
Annually
Our annual village Santa Parade first took place in 2012. Since then the parade has seen a few changes but most importantly brings the community together with some carols, food, and of course a visit from Santa. The parade takes place on the second Sunday of the month in December.

BLETHER SERVICE
Ongoing
Our Blether service provides a twice-weekly call for residents who are socially isolated or vulnerable. Our trained call handler provides a check-in and a chat.

COMMUNITY GARDEN
Current
We are currently exploring the potential of a community garden with Stoneyburn and Bents.
Our gardening volunteers are keen to share their skills and expertise and it would be great to be able to grow our own plants for our raised beds and planters.
This project is at the very early stages and progress will be updated ongoing.

STONEYBURN STORIES
Current
Thanks to the Town Centre Fund, Generation Arts have been working on a Walking trail through the village based on the Stoneyburn Stories Book that was created by various individuals, the Vision Group and the Community Council. The project had now been given planning permission and is on track for work to begin in the early Autumn.
